Ilan Hirschowitz was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. Today he works as a Software Support & Dba Manager for a large international software company. Photography is his passionate hobby and he recently took part in a wild life photographic Safari with his father and son in the Chobe game park in Botswana. As a young boy he always was in close contact with cameras, darkrooms, lenses and learnt the classical art of photography from his father, an avid enthusiast. Ilan started taking pictures on a more serious note in his early 20’s. He also has a love of the outdoors which in his youth was spent exploring on horseback in the South African veld. His love of Nature photography was rekindled in his hometown, Tel Mond in Israel, after discovering many majestic landscapes on his doorstep. He often goes out evenings, camera in hand to chase the ultimate sunset or beautiful cloudy sky. Ilan has had several photographic exhibitions in Tel Mond, Or Yehuda, Sarasota and Netanya. He has also published a number of photographic books. Ilan may be contacted at ihvision@gmail.com
