Rhona Lassman Berzack was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1948. She lived in various cities in S.A., and also in what was Northern Rhodesia (today Zambia) and Southern Rhodesia.
In 1963, Rhona moved to Bulawayo in Southern Rhodesia where she finished her education and worked as an accountant for the legal firm, Joel Pincus & Konson. 
She was a member of Betar, the youth movement, and there she met her husband Eric to whom she has been married since 1969. Their children were born in Bulawayo, and they lived there until 1983.
The Berzacks then moved to Johannesburg where they lived until 2010, when they came to live in Israel, and made their home in Modiin.
Rhona has always been involved in various organizations, including Selwyn Segal, Wizo, Union of Jewish Women and Meals on Wheels. As soon as she arrived in Israel she joined ESRA, which, she says, “was an amazing opportunity for me to carry on being involved in some excellent projects, and to meet people, make friends and participate in various activities”.
